Minister Tomasz Siemoniak visited Budapest
On Wednesday, 29 January Minister of National Defence Tomasz Siemoniak visited Budapest within delegation of the Prime Minister.
During the visit of Polish delegation a meeting of Prime Ministers of Poland and Hungary - Donald Tusk and Viktor Orbán took place as well as intergovernmental consultations.
Minister Tomasz Siemoniak met with Hungarian Minister of Defence Csaba Hende. The talks of both ministers pertained to military bilateral and multilateral cooperation including, inter alia, cooperation within NATO, EU and Visegrad Group. Another discussed topic were preparations for the London NATO summit scheduled for September.
After the talks, in presence of Prime Ministers of Poland and Hungary, Ministers of Defence of both countries signed Agreement between government of the Republic of Poland and government of Hungary on exchange and mutual protection of classified information.
Minister Tomasz Siemoniak also participated in the meeting of Prime Minister Donald Tusk with Chairman of Hungarian Parliament László Kövér.
During the visit in Budapest Polish delegation laid flowers at the Tomb of Unknown Soldier at Heroes Square.
