Polish-Finnish talks of Defence Ministers
On Friday, 7 February talks of Defence Ministers of Poland and Finland Tomasz Siemoniak and Carl Haglund were held in Warsaw.
The visit of Defence Minister of the Republic of Finland is a revisit in Polish Defence Ministry - Minister Tomasz Siemoniak was hosted by Carl Haglund in April 2013.
During today's meeting the Ministers discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and specified the potential areas of further cooperation, including cooperation in the field of defence industries.
The Ministers signed a document defining areas of Polish-Finnish defence cooperation for years 2014-2016, what is an effect of the well developing military cooperation between our countries.
Defence Ministers also talked about regional cooperation and they discussed effects of the December European Council dedicated to CSDP.
Reform of armed forces command and management system and reform of Finnish defence forces were also among the discussed topics.
Moreover, current situation in Ukraine was discussed during the meeting.
